The Rhode Island Men's Track and Field team had a strong showing at Northeastern University for the Husky Indoor Invitational. The Rams had 30 top-five finishers both on the track and in the field events ending the day with a total of 273 points.

  • Freshman Nathan Coogan finished second in the 1000 meters clocking in at (2:29.83). Sophomore Sam Coppola (2:33.67) and freshman Shawn Carlson (2:34.09) finished third and fourth, respectively.
  • Rhode Island took first, second, and third in the 60 meter hurdle finals. Senior John Stallworth finished in 8.28 seconds, good for first place. Junior Adam Franklin (8.28s) and freshman Callan Davies (8.60s) finished second and third.
  • Freshman Childress Cannon finished first in the 60 meter dash finals, clocking in at 7.07 seconds. Junior Joseph Carter finished third (7.18s) and freshman Joseph Manetta finished fifth (7.32s).
  • Junior Timothy Slack finished second in the mile, with a time of 4:24.44.
  • Rhode Island had the top four finishers in the 500 meter dash. Freshman Anthony Delasanta placed first (1:05.69), junior De'Von McGriff finished second (1:05.71), senior Jaleel Felton finished third (1:05.74) and freshman Shawn Carlson finished fourth (1:07.61).
  • Freshman Nicholas Fitch finished third in the 800 meters (1:55.95).
  • Junior Adam Franklin placed first in the 200 meter dash, clocking in at 22.47 seconds. Senior John Stallworth finished in 22.54 seconds, freshman Joseph Manetta finished in 22.80 seconds and junior Joseph Carter finished in 22.82 seconds to round out the top five.
  • Sophomore Joe Maguire placed first in the 3000 meters with a time of 8:52.86.
  • Both Rhode Island 4x400 meter teams were able to compete, placing first and second respectively. The team of De'Von McGriff, Anthony Delasanta, Jaleel Felton, and Adam Franklin clocked in at 3:24.71. Callan Davies, Nicholas Fitch, Shawn Carlson, and Tim Slack finished second with a time of 3:29.62.
  • Senior Brandon Amo finished second in the weight throw with a mark of 59' 6.75". Senior Olusegun Vadis finished fourth (51' 9.25") and senior Darrik Muroski finished fifth (51' 1.50").
  • Senior Darrik Muroski placed first in the shot put with a throw of 46' 11.75". Freshman Derek Jacobs finished in second with a mark of 46' 6.25".
  • Freshman Childress Cannon placed first in the long jump with a mark of 22' 7.0". Senior Nigel Riley jumped 22' 2.25", good for second place.
  • Sophomore Eric Wicks finished second in the high jump with a mark of 6' 6.0".
  • Senior Abdul-Lateef Orulebaja placed first in the triple jump (45' 6.25") and senior Nigel Riley finished second with a mark of 45' 1.0"
