How It Happened
Despite allowing just four shots on goal, Rhode Island (3-8, 0-3 A-10), fell 2-1 to Richmond Thursday night.

The Spiders (1-8-1, 1-1-1) got on the board in the 62nd minute when Brooke Beam scored off an assist from Olivia Aha. Aha notched a goal of her own less than three minutes later, putting Richmond up 2-0 off a pass from Emily Drummond.

Rhode Island broke through in the 73rd minute when Emily Wakeford scored her first goal of the season. Amanda Nardella provided the assist. The Rams managed five shots in the final 15 minutes, but were not able to come up with the equalizer.
