How it Happened
Rhode Island fell 4-1 at Saint Joseph's in its final road game of the regular season on Thursday night.

The Hawks established a lead early, getting three goals in the first half of play. The first score came in the 13th minute from Gabrielle Vagnozzie. Less than a minute later, Bridget Galen added to the advantage off an assist from Dakota Mills. Mills found the back of the net herself in the 26th minute from Melanie Cunha to cap off the SJU scoring in the first 45.

Rhody got on the board in the second half at the 74th minute. Freshman Tali O'Leary netted one on a breakaway thanks to passes from Kaitlyn Sengphilom and Carrie Ellis. Saint Joseph's responded with a goal less than five minutes later, sealing the victory off a shot by Morgan Bower from Aleksa Peev.

  • Freshman Tali O'Leary scored the lone goal for the Rams. It was her second career goal.
  • Freshman Carrie Ellis and junior Kaitlyn Sengphilom were credited with the assist. It was the first career assist for both Rams.
