How it Happened
George Washington got a goal in each half from Rachel Sorkenn to knock off Rhode Island 2-0 Sunday afternoon at the URI Soccer Complex.

Sorkenn broke through in the eighth minute, picking up her second goal of the season. She struck again in the 71st minute, beating Rhode Island keeper Teresa Morrissey with a shot to the left to pad the Colonial lead.

Rhode Island managed three shots on goal, but were unable to get on the board.
