How it Happened
Rhode Island cruised to its fourth straight victory Friday night, battling back from a second-half double-digit deficit to defeat La Salle, 75-60, at the Ryan Center. The Rams had four score in double figures en route to their sixth conference win.

Rhode Island (6-5, 6-2 A-10) started the game cold from the floor, connecting on just 5-13 in the second quarter to go into the break down 33-26.

The Explorers (8-8, 4-5 A-10) built their lead to as many as 11 points in the third period (37-26) after back-to-back layups from Kayla Spruill. A quick spurt at the end of the third quarter made the score 45-44 entering the final 10 minutes.

The Rams pulled away down the stretch, excelling at the free throw line. A season-high 31 points helped Rhode Island put the game away. The Rams were 8-of-12 from the floor, and then iced the game by hitting 13-of-14 at the stripe, outscoring by 16 in the period to seal the victory.
