How it Happened
Rhode Island survived a physical battle despite playing the final 7:27 minutes down a man to salvage a 2-2 tie at Fordham Saturday evening.

Rhody scored early as Artan Brovina found the back of the net in the fourth minute. Hugo Guerra made it a two-goal lead in the 21st minute with a goal off an assist from Patrick Agyemang.

Fordham, which entered on a three-match win streak, got one back in the 43rd minute when Luke McNamara scored the first of his two goals on the day. His second came early in the second half, when he scored unassisted at 49:50.

Both sides lost players to red cards late in the game. Fordham's Conrado Dohour left the game in the 88th minute, and Rhode Island's Kevin Castaneda was booked for his second yellow in the 99th minute. Braeden Cannon picked up his second yellow in the second overtime in the 103rd minute, meaning it was 10-on-9 for Fordham for the final 7:27.

Fordham managed two quality shots on net in the closing minutes, but Andrew Kempe twice made the stop, helping Rhode Island earn its first point in conference play.
