How it Happened
Reigning Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week Isak Oystese continued his strong play, scoring twice to lead Rhode Island to a 2-1 victory at Merrimack Friday night.

With the score tied 1-1, Patrick Agyemang took a pass from Hugo Guerra down the right sideline. Agyemang carried the ball deep into the Merrimack zone and sent a low cross to a wide open Oystese for the finish in the 81st minute.

Oystese had scored the first goal of the night on a diving header in the 36th minute. His goal came off a long service from Max Kwitchoff. That lead stood until Merrimack's Trym Kyvaag evened the score in the 48th minute. A long throw in was headed to Kyvaag by Curtis Moore, and Kyvaag added a second header that snuck just past the outstretched dive of Rhody keeper Stefan Schmidt.

Merrimack's best chance to tie the match later came with 90 seconds remaining on a free kick from well outside the box. The Rhody defense headed the initial service away, and a follow up shot was well off the mark to the right, allowing Rhody to secure the victory.
