How it Happened
Rhode Island was held scoreless for the third time this season, falling to undefeated Princeton 2-0 Sunday afternoon.

The Tigers applied the pressure early, forcing Rhody's Faith Hutchins to make her first of 14 saves just five minutes in. Rebecca D'Anna gave the Rams their best chance of the half three minutes later when she fired a shot to the bottom right corner, but Princeton's Tyler McCamey was there to make the save. Hutchins went on to stop each of Princeton's next four shots on goal to keep the score level at zero heading into halftime.

Princeton returned from the break recharged and had its offence buzzing throughout the second half, taking 18 shots overall and putting 10 on goal. The Tigers' defense also locked down, allowing Rhody to test McCamey just once – on a 50th-minute shot which was saved.

Princeton finally capitalized in the 67th minute, finding the back of the net on an attempt by Alexis Hultunen. The Tigers added an insurance goal 20 minutes later when Amy Paternoster made it a 2-0 game.

Rhode Island managed just one shot the rest of the way – an 88th-minute, off-target attempt by Kelly Fitzgerald.
