Set One – Ohio State 25, Rhode Island 13
Ohio State set the tone early on, scoring the first five points of the match and pushing the advantage to 9-3 on an attack error by the Rams. A service ace by Grace Hammond later capped a 7-3 Rhode Island run that got URI within two points at 12-10, but that was as close as Rhody would ge. The Buckeyes closed out the set on a 13-3 tear – including four straight services aces from Arica Davis – to end it at 25-13.

Set Two – Ohio State 25, Rhode Island 11
The second set started in similar fashion, with Ohio State once again establishing a big lead early. Trailing 14-4, Rhode Island got three of its next four points on Buckeye service errors, but OSU scored seven points of its own over that span to push the advantage to 21-8. The Rams managed just three more points the rest of the way as Ohio State picked up the 25-11 victory.
 
Set Three – Ohio State 25, Rhode Island 13
The Rams and Buckeyes traded points early on in the third set with URI trailing by just one at 6-5. Ohio State blew things open from there though, using a 14-5 run to move ahead 20-10. URI managed just four points the rest of the way, three of which came from Buckeye errors.
