Set One – Duquesne 25, Rhode Island 15
Duquesne took six of the first eight points in the opening set, and used a 6-0 run midway through to pull ahead 14-5. Rhode Island struggled to keep the serve, converting just 11-of-25 sideout opportunities, compared to 11-of-15 for the Dukes. AÂ kill by
Brynne Wright cut URI's deficit to six at 17-11, but the Rams were unable to get any closer as Duquesne coasted to the 25-15 win.
Set Two – Duquesne 25, Rhode Island 22
Rhode Island did not lead at any point in the second set. The Rams combined for 19 kills, while holding Duquesne to just 13, but the Dukes only had one attack error compared eight for URI. Trailing by as many as seven (17-10), Rhody used a late 11-5 push – which featured five kills and an ace by Wright – to get within one at 22-21. After a Duquesne kill, the Dukes' seventh block of the night gave them set point at 24-21. A
Mariah Paulette kill extended things for the Rams, but Carsyn Henschen responded with a set-winning kill for Duquesne.
Set Three – Duquesne 25, Rhode Island 19
The third set was all Rhody until the Dukes made a late comeback. With the Rams on top 17-12, Duquesne scored four straight points, forcing URI to call a time out. A Duquesne service error after the break gave the Rams a two-point cushion (18-16), but the Dukes lit it up from there, scoring eight in a row to get set point at 24-18. Anita Parrott had three of her match-high seven blocks during that stretch, and eventually finished things off with a match clinching kill at 25-19.

- As a team, Rhode Island finished with a .111 hitting percentage while Duquesne was .287.
- The Dukes combined for 12 team blocks while Rhody had just four.
- Anita Parrott was dominant at the net for Duquesne, finishing with seven blocks – including three solos – and seven kills.
- Junior Brynne Wright led the Rams with 11 kills. She also had four digs, one block, one ace and one assist.
- Freshman Karlee Pinell had 10 kills, eight digs and one ace.
- Grad student Gabrielle Shilling added six kills and two blocks.
- Sophomore libero Hannah Blaney had a team-high 11 digs. She also served up a pair of aces.
- Redshirt freshman Hope Passerello finished the night with 28 assists, four digs, two kills and one block.
- The win snapped an eight-game slide for the Dukes, who improve to 4-16 (1-7 A-10). Meanwhile, Rhode Island falls to 4-17 (0-8 A-10).
