Set One – Maryland 25, Rhode Island 11
Rhody jumped out to an early 4-2 lead before five consecutive Maryland points put the home team ahead 7-4. The Rams kept things close, but another run by the Terrapins set URI back 20-10. A kill by Claire Wagner then broke Maryland's momentum, but the Terps claimed each of the next five points to win the opening set.

Set Two – Maryland 25, Rhode Island 17
Maryland got off to a hot start in the second set, taking a 6-2 lead early on. However, the Rams responded with a 6-1 push – that featured four kills by Wagner – to take over the lead at 8-7. It was back and forth from there, with additional kills from Wagner putting Rhody on top 10-9 and 11-10, and Maryland errors allowing the Rams to lead 12-11 and 13-12. The Terps then scored three consecutive points to take over the lead for good. URI cut the deficit to one on a Brynne Wright kill that made it 17-16, but Maryland closed on an 8-1 tear to win the second set 25-17.

Set Three – Maryland 25, Rhode Island 13
Maryland rode the momentum into the third set, where it claimed 10 of the first 13 points. The Terps pushed the advantage to double digits at 17-7 and led by 10 or more the rest of the way. Rhody managed just five kills in the set – two each by Wright and Karlee Pinell, and another by Wagner.
