Set One – Siena 25, Rhode Island 12
Siena got off to a hot start, outscoring Rhody 8-4 to start the match and later using a 4-0 push to stretch the lead to double digits at 20-10. A service error by the Saints, followed by a block from
Claire Wagner and
Gillian Klise, then trimmed the deficit to eight (20-12), but Siena responded with five straight points to take the opening set 25-12.
Set Two – Rhode Island 25, Siena 16
The teams split the first 16 points of the second set before Rhode Island used a 15-5 run to distance itself at 23-12. During that push, the Rams got service aces from
Brynne Wright (2),
Hannah Blaney (1) and
Adel Gage (1) as well as six combined kills from Wagner (4), Wright (1) and
Gabrielle Shilling (1). Rhode eventually closed out the match on top 25-16, scoring its final points off a pair of Siena service errors.

Set Three – Rhode Island 25, Siena 21
Rhode Island never trailed in the third set and only allowed Siena to tie the score at 3-3. The teams kept it close before four consecutive points for the Rams put URI ahead 16-10. Siena hung close however, and slowly clawed its way back to pull within one at 22-21, but three straight kills from Wagner,
Mariah Paulette and Wright sealed the set for Rhody at 25-21.

Set Four – Rhode Island 25, Siena 17
The fourth set was similar to the third in that Rhody did not trail at any point, despite Siena evening the score at 6-6 and 7-7. A 10-4 run then put the Rams on top 17-11, and Rhody kept its foot on the gas the rest of the way. Kills by Shilling and Wagner later bookended a pair of kills by Wright to finish things off 25-17 and give the Rams their first win of the season.

- Senior Claire Wagner recorded her second double-double of the season with 12 digs and a match-leading 21 kills. She also had four aces, two blocks and one assist.
- Junior Brynne Wright also double-doubled with 11 kills, 10 digs and two service aces.
- Sophomore Katie Butler finished with a season-high 38 assists, while also adding even digs, three kills and one block.
- Sophomore Hannah Blaney recorded a match-best 25 digs to go with four assists and a pair of aces.
- Grad student Gabrielle Shilling added seven kills on 11 swings for the Rams.
- Grad student Mariah Paulette had three blocks – including one solo – four kills and two digs.
- Junior Adel Gage recorded nine digs and two aces.
