KINGSTON, R.I. - The preseason laurels keep coming in for Rhode Island Football's Nick Correia, as the offensive lineman was named to the Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team, presented by FedEx Ground, on Tuesday morning. 

The Nantucket native landed on the Second Team, marking his second-straight year achieving the preseason honor from the outlet. He was named to the Third Team last summer before collecting Third Team All-American honors at the end of the 2022 campaign. 

A 2022 First Team All-CAA selection, Correia led a Ram offensive line that blocked for the third-highest scoring offense in the league. Rhody piled up 30.6 points per game behind a balanced attack and ranked fourth in CAA Football in both rushing attack (168.8 yards per game) and passing attack (235.3 yards per game). Rhode Island was also fifth in the conference with just 21 sacks allowed in 11 games. 

Correia has started 37-straight games at right guard for Rhode Island, manning the spot for every contest since the start of the 2019 season. He has been named a Preseason All-American by both Bluebloods and HERO Sports and recently landed on the All-CAA Football Preseason Team.

Training camp for the Rams is in full swing, allowing the team to prepare for its opening game at Georgia State on Thursday, Aug. 31. The game against the Panthers is set for a 7 p.m. kick.
