Set One - UT Arlington 25, Rhode Island 17
What started as a highly competitive opening set fell apart late for Rhode Island. The teams were never separated by more than two points through the first 31 rallies. With UT Arlington up 16-15, the Mavericks ran off five of the next six points to open a 21-16 edge. Jalie Tritt, Briana Brown and Paige Reagor each had a kill while Evyn Snook added an ace. Brown closed out the set with back-to-back kills from Mollie Blank.
Set Two - UT Arlington 25, Rhode Island 19
The momentum continued into the second set, as UT Arlington grabbed five of the first six points. The lead steadily grew to 15-9 before Rhody rallied with five consecutive points (blocks) to get within one at 15-14.
Gabrielle Shilling had two blocks assists - one each with
Madi Disu and
Megan Disu - and also had a kill to key the Rams. A Briana Brown kill out of a UT Arlington timeout stopped the run, and the Mavericks quickly regained control by scoring six of the next points for a 21-15 lead. Contest to trade points from there, UT Arlington closed out the set on a Paige Reagor kill.

With the scored tied 7-7, the Mavericks got blocks on three consecutive points. Paige Reagor was in on all three, getting one solo stuff and two block assists to spark a 7-2 run.
