How it Happened
Rhode Island picked up its first draw of the season in a 1-1 tie at UMass Lowell Sunday afternoon.

The Rams got on the board after McKenna Sylvester beat a defender and found Jill Rosenfeld just outside the box. The sophomore found the back of the net with with a deep shot that couldn't be corralled by goalkeeper Taylor Burgess.

UMass Lowell scored an equalizer less than 10 minutes later off a header by Laura Cetina that snuck past keeper Abby McCarthy.

The Riverhawks had one last effort in a free kick that was drawn with about a minute to play. McCarthy was able to make the save, her fourth of the game, for the tie.
