How it Happened
Rhode Island head men's soccer coach Gareth Elliott reached 100 victories during the Rams' 2-1 win over UAlbany on Tuesday night at the URI Soccer Complex.

All three of the match's goals were scored in the second half, which saw the majority of the action.

Isak Oystese first got the Rams on the board in the 75th minute when he stripped a ball from a defender at the top of the box. In response, the Great Danes scored less than a minute later off a cross from 20 yards out, tying the score at 1-1.

Despite the setback, Rhode Island continued to create chances in the attacking third and it eventually paid off when a cross from Íñigo Etxegarai went to Oystese, who put it at Ivan Montoro's feet. The senior captain booted the game-winner into the bottom left corner of the net with just under 10 minutes to go.

UAlbany made one final push, earning a pair of corner kicks in the final minute and a half of play, but the home team held on for Elliott's milestone victory.
