Rams Rise in Both FCS National Polls

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island rose in both national FCS Top 25 polls after Saturday's win over New Hampshire. The Rams came in at No. 16 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 and at No. 15 in the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll

The Rams made a one spot jump in the Stats Perform poll earning 512 points. Rhody is just nine points behind CAA foe Villanova who came in at No. 15 with 521 points, and one spot ahead of No. 17 Lamar (Southland) who received 454 points.

In the AFCA poll, Rhode Island made a three-spot improvement from last week's appearance at No. 18. The Rams were one spot behind No. 14 Villanova and one spot ahead of No. 16 Mercer (SoCon).

North Dakota State, South Dakota State, Tarleton State, Montana, Montana State, and UC Davis remained the top five in each national poll.

The Rams travel to UAlbany this week for a conference match up with the Great Danes on Saturday, Sept. 18. Kickoff is 3:30 p.m. on FloCollege.com.
