How it Happened
Rhode Island got goals from four different players and assists from five players as it rolled past Central Connecticut State 4-0 Wednesday night.
Everson Goglia got the outburst going late in the first half with a goal in the 42nd minute.
Tiago Barriguinha sent a corner kick to the box.
Maksim Kalina headed the ball to Goglia, who slipped the shot across the goal line.
Five minutes into the second half, Goglia set up
Theo Harris for a goal that put the Rams up 2-0. In the 71st minute,
Austin Rocke drew a foul in the penalty box. His penalty kick was blocked, but Rocke stayed with the play and sent the rebound to the back of the net for his first goal of the season.
In the final minute,
Collin Martin sent a long through pass to
Mathias Taylor, who then found
Sinan Bruning alone at the top of the box. Bruning buried the shot to cap the night off in fashion.
