  • The Rams are 1-3 all-time against the Great Danes.
  • Last season, UAlbany handed Rhody a 67-57 loss in Albany, NY.
  • It's the first trip to the Ryan Center for the Great Danes since a 67-58 UAlbany win on Nov. 22, 2015.
  • The game last season was a matchup against the Phillips twins- Sophie Phillips and Lily Phillips, who are  both now playing professionally in Germany together.
  • Last year was the first time since 2015 the teams had faced each other.
  • The first meeting between the two schools was Jan. 3, 2009. The Great Danes won, 69-59.
  • The last Rhody win in the series was Jan. 2, 2010 in a 65-60 victory.
  • The Rams are 2-0 at home this season while the Great Danes are 0-1 on the road.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES

  • The Great Danes were selected to finish fourth in the America East Preseason Poll.

ALLOW HER TO REINTRODUCE HERSELF

  • Rhode Island forward Palmire Mbu has had an impressive start to her sophomore campaign.
  • After making just four 3-pointers last season and shooting 4-for-32 from deep (.095), Mbu has flipped the script. Through the first three games, she's already gone 6-for-11 from beyond the arc (.545).
  • She leads the Rams averaging 16.8 points per game, scoring in double digits in the last four straight games.
  • Mbu, who battled through injury last year, scored a career-high 24 points against Emmanuel College.
  • She opened the season with her second career double-double, pairing 12 points with a career-high 14 rebounds.
  • The 6' 1" forward also paces the Rams averaging 8.5 rebounds per game.
