How it Happened
Rhode Island (4-1) turned on the jets late, turning a one-point game into a 12-point victory as it defeated UAlbany 64-52 Saturday evening,
The visiting Great Danes made the score 40-39 on a 3-point shot by Julia Palomo with 8:51 to go in the fourth quarter. From there, Rhode Island outscored UAlbany 24-13 to record the team's fourth victory in five games.

Vanessa Harris scored seven points over the final nine minutes as URI rebounded from its first loss of the season.
UAlbany (2-2) shot 43.8 percent from the floor and .500 from 3-point range (7-14), but Rhode Island had too much balance for the Great Danes.

- Brooklyn Gray and Palmire Mbu led Rhode Island with 12 points and seven rebounds each.
