Jenna Slowey announced four captains for the 2026 season.
Caitlin Dellecave and
Emma Hughes will return as captains, while Hofstra transfer
Kyndall Jackson and senior
Marissa Hermans have been named a captains. "
We are lucky to bring back both Caitlin and Emma as captains this year, while adding two more to the role," said Slowey.
Dellecave transferred to Rhody a season ago from Stony Brook and led the Rams in their NCAA inaugural season. "Caitlin is the quarterback of our offense," said Slowey. "She leads with passion for the game, our program, and the individuals on the team."
Hughes, a Rhode Island native, was the first and only member of the squad in 2022-23. "Emma is the definition of someone who leads by example," added Slowey. "She makes all her decisions with integrity and is one of our hardest workers .We are lucky to bring back both her and Caitlin as captains."
Jackson arrives in Kingston with veteran experience and immediately steps into a leadership role as one of the team's newly named captains. "Kyndall has been such a positive, energetic force since the moment she has arrived here on campus," added Slowey. "She has quickly connected with her teammates and gained their confidence and respect."
Hermans made her Rhody debut with a start in the season-opening win over Merrimack. "Marissa has been a perennial leader for us since joining the team in 2023," finished Slowey. "A servant leader, she consistently does the grunt work and small tasks that may go unnoticed but are essential to our team's success."
The Rams start up their second season in Kingston in February.Â
