KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island moved into the top 10 of the
AFCA Coaches Poll and dropped from No. 13 to No. 14 in the
Stats Perform FCS Top 25. These changes in each national poll comes after Rhode Island's bye week this weekend.
Rhody received 378 points in the AFCA poll, which is tied with Mercer (SoCon) for 10th-best in this week's poll. No. 6 Monmouth and No. 8 Villanova round out the CAA Football programs to appear in the poll.
In the Stats Perform Poll, the Rams appeared at No. 14, one spot behind No. 13 where they appeared last week. Rhode Island's 728 points is 30 points behind No. 13 North Dakota (Missouri Valley). No. 7 Monmouth and No. 10 Villanova are the other two CAA teams in this week's poll. New Hampshire also received votes in the Stats Poll.
The Rams return to action this Saturday, Nov. 8 when they head on the road to Elon. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and will air on FloCollege.com.
