RHODE ISLAND VS. EMMANUEL COLLEGE - Series notes 

  • The Rams are at home for the time in as many games Monday. 
  • Rhody welcomes Division III Emmanuel College to the Ryan Center for the first meeting in program history.
  • The game is the first of the season for Emmanuel College, based in Boston, Mass.
  • The Rams are 1-0 at the Ryan Center after defeating Merrimack 84-46 last time out.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS

  • Emmanuel College is coming off a 14-13 season in 2024-25.
  • The Saints ended their season at the GNAC Quarterfinals, falling to Saint Joseph's College of Maine 72-65.
  • Emmanuel College welcomed five first years, and have two seniors returning to the squad.
  • Last year, the Saints were 7-7 on the road.
  • Emmanuel College head coach Andrew Yosinoff is in his 48th season at the helm, joining the 900-win club in 2023. Yosinoff is a 1970 graduate of the University of Rhode Island.

EVERYBODY EATS

  • In Rhody's win last time out over Merrimack, Rhode Island saw scoring contributions from every player who took the court.
  • Led by Palmire Mbu's career-high 14 points, the Rams had four in double figures with Vanessa Harris (13), Albina Syla (11), and Ines Debroise (10) getting in on the scoring.
  • URI dished out 19 assists, including five handouts by Debroise.
  • Freshmen Lilyana Fontcha (2) and Aimée Michel (7) scored their first collegiate points in the win.

NO PLACE LIKE HOME

  • Rhode Island cruised to an 84-46 victory last time out over Merrimack for the first win of the season at the Ryan Center.
  • Last year, Rhody was 10-5 in Kingston. 
  • Head coach Tammi Reiss has turned the Ryan Center into a true home court advantage. 
  • Over her seven seasons, Reiss is 64-18 in Kingston.
