WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - Rhode Island was consistent, placing 21st in all three flights and in the overall team standings as well at the 2025 NCAA Women's Rowing Championship Sunday.
Teams were on the water early Sunday morning on Mercer Lake. After the semifinals were delayed until Saturday evening, it was a short turnaround for the final day of competition.
Stanford won its second national title, topping the field with 129 points. It was the second title in three years for the Cardinal, which was also the national runner up last season, as well as in 2022 and 2021. Yale (121 points) placed second, followed by Texas (118), Washington (117) and Tennessee (106).

Ellie McGee maintained contact with the top two boats, Northeastern and Boston University for most of the D Final. All three boats were within five seconds of each other at the midpoint of the course.
It was Northeastern (6:34.332) overtaking BU (6:36.356) in the final 500 meters to win the heat and place 19th in the flight. Rhode Island (6:43.132) was comfortably in third place in the heat and claimed 21st in the flight. The Rams were across the line more than 16 seconds ahead of Fairfield.
Rhode Island will compete against Northeastern, Boston University and Fairfield in Sunday's D Final. The V8+ fourth final will determine spots 19-22 in the flight standings.

Evelyn Tabor used a strong pushed in the third 500 meters of the course to separate from Fairfield and take third in the heat. Rhody and the Stags were separated by just two seconds at the midpoint of the course, but by 1500 meters the Rams had a comfortable cushion of nearly 15 seconds, helping URI post a time of 6:58.281. Oregon State won the heat and took 19th in the flight with its time of 6:41.169, which beat Boston University (6:47.977), which took third in the heat and 20th in the flight.

Lily Stasaitis posted its fastest time of the championship. The Rams finished in 7:54.079, shaving more than five seconds off its semifinal time. Rhody held off Fairfield to take third place in the heat and 21st in the flight. Dartmouth held off the rest of the heat with its time of 7:22.173, while Northeastern placed second in the heat.
