Kingston, R.I. – Nick Martin was named A10 Performer of the Week, and Cole Francis was named A10 Rookie Performer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.

Martin finished in third place with a time of 23:55.3 at the IC4A championships Saturday afternoon. This is the second straight race with a top 5 finish for Martin, who finished fourth at the Paul Short Run two weeks ago.

Francis ran the 6k race in 25:29.0 and finished 6^th on the team, helping URI gain valuable points to claim 6^th out of 20 teams at the regional championships. Francis finished among the top rookies in the 297-runner field.

This is the second time this season that Rams have swept the weekly awards, with Ryan Kaiser and Henri Rivard winning Performer and Rookie of the Week back on Sept. 15.

Rhode Island will return to action Saturday, Oct. 31, when they head to Mechanicsville, Va., for the 2026 Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships.
