KINGSTON, R.I. -- For the sixth straight week, the Rams are just the outside the AP Top 25, receiving a program-best 41 votes in the latest poll, released Monday. Rhode Island is up 12 votes from a week ago, where they earned 29 points. Rhody is the first team out of the Top 25, ahead of Washington (22), Princeton (14), Richmond (12), Fairfield (7), North Dakota St (2), Iowa St. (2), Illinois (2), Syracuse (1), and Columbia (1). URI is one of just four teams in the nation with two losses or fewer, joining UConn (27-0), UCLA (25-1), North Dakota State (23-2).
Rhode Island had another dominating week, extending its win streak to a program-record 17 in a row. Last time out, the Rams defeated George Mason 79-63 to remain the only team perfect in Atlantic 10 play (14-0).
