2025 Football - URI Student Ticket Policy


All currently enrolled University of Rhode Island Students are eligible to claim a free student tickets to Rhode Island Football and Men's and Women's Basketball games.  Based on limited seating capacities and higher ticket demand for Football, Men's Basketball and Women's Basketball a student cap of 1000 free tickets/access is in place.  Please see below for each sport-specific information.  Questions call 401-874-7267 (RAMS) or text "Rhody" to 401-874-7267

2025 Football Information
URI students with a valid student ID receive free admission to all home football games.  Students must enter Meade Stadium via the North East Gate located off of West Alumni Road and Butterfield Avenue and present their mobile game ticket for admission.
  • There are 1,000 tickets available for currently enrolled URI students for all home Football and Basketball games.  If available additional seats will be made available to students on a game-by-game basis.
  • The student ticket is good for one general admission seat.
  • The designated Student Sections are the First 6 Rows of Section 1,2,3,4,5.  Since these sections are General Admission, availability is first come first serve.
  • Students who successfully secure a ticket will be provided with a Mobile game ticket to be scanned at the student gate on your mobile device.
  • Once the ticket capacity is reached, the event is sold out. 
  • Tickets will remain on-sale up until game time should tickets remain available, however, once the limit is reached the event will close for sale.
  • Mobile/Digital tickets will be emailed to each qualifying URI student at the time of their request once they have completed the online ticket request.  Upon receipt students will simply click a link within their email (email listed in your e-campus account) that will prompt them to add the ticket to their Apple or GPay Wallet.
  • All students with a ticket saved in their phone's digital wallet are eligible for admission to the selected game.
  • Tickets and seating are on a first come, first served basis and gates for general students opens sixty (60) minutes prior to kick-off.

Valid RAM ID Card in addition to game ticket is required for admittance to games *** NO EXCEPTIONS***

ANY ATTEMPT AT SELLING YOUR STUDENT TICKET, OR ANY STUDENT EJECTED FROM A GAME WILL LOSE ACCESS TO TICKETS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES PURSUANT TO THE STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT.

Game Entry and Seating
  • A mobile/digital ticket AND valid URI ID are required for entry.
  • This will be strictly enforced. The name on the RAM Card must match the name on the digital ticket.
  • Mobile/Digital tickets must be saved in the student's Apple or G Pay Wallet prior to arriving at the game.
  • General admission seating in student approved sections
  • Large bags and/or backpacks are prohibited. Only small clutch purses or clear tote bags.  For more information on the bag policy please click here.
    •Football Student Entrance is located at the North East Corner of Meade Stadium
    •Men's Basketball Student Entrance is located at the South Lobby of the Ryan Center
    •Doors open 60 minutes prior to tip-off for gen
    •Students must present their valid student ID to receive free admission
    •Seating within the student section is on a first-come, first-served basis
    •Outside food and drinks are prohibited

 Behavior Policy
  • All students and fans are required to wear an approved personal face covering at all times while within each venue as well as in the queue lines outside the venue.
  • All students must agree to sit in approved only seating locations indicated by a specific seat marker.
  • Misconduct at games will be subject to review by the Office of Student Affairs and will result in forfeiture of student ticket for the next home game.
  • Misconduct includes but is not limited to:
    • Using another student's ID to enter the game.
    • Violent or aggressive behavior.
    • Possession of alcoholic beverages or illegal substances.
    • Failure to adhere to stadium policies.
    • Ticket Resale / Transfer Policy
  • URI students are prohibited from reselling student tickets for profit. Students found to be in violation of this policy will be penalized. Penalties include the cancelation of single game tickets, cancelation of tickets already purchased or claimed, and the loss of student ticket privileges.
