The 2014 academic year marks Casey Buckley's first yearRhode Island's pitching coach. Buckley comes to URI after havingspent the 2014 season at Division II Dowling College, where heserved as the assistant pitching coach as well as the team'sscouting director and strength & conditioningadvisor.

In his one season with the Golden Lions, Buckley helpedguide the pitching staff to the best team ERA in all of Division II(2.42). Additionally, Dowling posted an overall record of 36-17,claimed the regular season conference title and advanced to thefinals of the NCAA East Regional.

Following the conclusion of he 2014 season, Buckley moved toRhode Island to take on pitching coach duties for the NECBL's OceanState Waves. He also served as the club's strength &conditioning advisor.

As a collegiate player, Buckley was a member of the baseball teamat Rutgers-Newark (D-III) from 2010-12 before transferring toDowling (D-II) for the 2013 season. He graduated from Dowlingin 2014, with a Bachelor’s Degree in History.
