Rory Watters joined the Rhode Island coaching staff before the start of the 2024 season as an assistant coach for player development.
The Exeter, R.I. native started his coaching journey with Challenger Sports in 2020 where he coached in several states such as Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, and Maryland. Watters has also coached for competitive local teams in OSNK and Barrington YSA. He began coaching for local Premier Club Rams FC in 2022 and was voted SuperLiga Male Coach of the Year in 2023.
He is currently a communications major at URI who is expected to graduate in 2025.Â
