Biography

2017 (Junior) 

  • Appeared in 18 games and made 16 starts.
  • Finished the season with two assists.
  • Recorded his first career assist in URI's win over Marist.
  • Set up the game-winning goal in URI's 2-1 victory over George Washington.

2016 (Sophomore) 

  • Appeared in 18 games and made 17 starts during his sophomore season.

2015 (Freshman) 

  • Was one of just five players to appear in all 20 games for the Rams, making 17 starts.
  • Scored his first career goal in URI's 2-1 overtime victory at La Salle.

High School

  • Was a member of the soccer team at Branford High School before doing a post-grad year at Bridgeton Academy, where he served as team captain.
  • Also was a member of the ski team at Bridgeton.
  • Played club soccer for CFC Wolves Rocky Hill (U18), South Central Academy (U.S. Soccer Development Academy, U13-U17) and Connecticut ODP (U9-U13).
  • Was selected to play in the 2014 NEPSSA Senior All-Star Game while at Bridgeton, after helping lead his team to the Class A NEPSAC Soccer Tournament.
  • In his final season at Branford (2013), was an All-SCC selection and Team MVP; also was a Southern Connecticut Senior Bowl selection.
  • Also won the U18 Connecticut State Cup with the CFC Wolves. 
  • Won the Lee & Carol Fine Arts Award, Mission Achievement Award and Holt Science Award at Bridgeton Academy.
  • Was a counselor at Camp Totokett as well as a Unified Sports volunteer.

Personal

  • Born June 21, 1996.
  • Son of Lori and Kevin Daley.
  • Has an older brother, Connor, who is a member of the lacrosse team at Hartford.
  • Enjoys soccer, skiing, surfing, hiking, reading, art and music.
  • Favorite athlete is Steven Gerrard.
  • Favorite teams are Liverpool and the Red Sox.
  • Chose to attend URI over Lafayette, Bryant, Hartford, St. Michaels, UMass Lowell, Southern New Hampshire and St. Lawrence.
  • Made his decision based on URI's coaching staff and soccer program, state-of-the-art athletic facilities, environmental science program and location of the University.
  • Majoring in Environmental & Natural Resource Economics
  • Plans to pursue a career in sustainable design and consulting.
