2017 (Freshman)

• Appeared in 15 games during his rookie season, all as a reserve.
• Made his collegiate debut in URI's season-opening win over Boston University.
• Recorded his first career point - an assist - in URI's win over Marist.

Before URI 

• Was a member of the soccer and lacrosse teams at Bishop Hendricken High School.
• Captained his soccer team as a senior.
• Combined for 61 career points on 23 goals and 15 assists, despite missing his junior season with an injury.
• Helped lead his soccer and lacrosse teams to the state semifinals in 2014.
• Also advanced to the state semis in soccer in 2016.
• Was an All-Division and All-State First Team selection his senior year.
• Played club soccer for Rams FC (2011-13) and Bruno FC (2013-17).
• Was a high-honor roll and President's List students as well as a member of the National Honor Society and the National Spanish Honor Society.
• Received the 2016 Academic Council Committee Book Award, which is presented to a student who demonstrates excellence in academics, extracurricular activities and Christian values.
• Also serves as a peer minister, helping develop and facilitate annual religious retreats for members of the Bishop Hendricken community as part of a highly-selective group of student-leaders in faith.

• Born May 17, 1999.
• Son of Patricia and Ronnie Gesmundo.
• Has an older brother, Patrick, who was a two-year member of URI's club rugby team.
• Enjoys music, fashion and traveling.
• Favorite athlete is Sergio Aguero.
• Favorite teams are Manchester City and Barcelona.
• Hopes to pursue a career working for adidas.
