2016 (Freshman)

  • Led the team in scoring with 20 points on eight goals and four assists... His 20 points were the most by a Rhody freshman since the 1999 season (Winston Griffiths, 26P/9G/8A; Anthony Curtis, 23P/6G/11A).
  • Was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year.
  • Also was named to the All-Conference Second Team as well as the All-Rookie Team.
  • Earned back-to-back Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week awards to end the regular season (Oct. 31, Nov. 7).
  • Recorded his first career point - an assist - in Rhody's 1-0 victory at St. Francis Brooklyn.
  • Netted his first collegiate goal against New Hampshire.
  • Scored the Rams' lone goal of the game in a 1-1 draw at Drexel.
  • Picked up an assist in Rhody's 2-1 loss to UConn.
  • Scored his third goal of the season at Bryant.
  • Assisted on Niklas Middrup's goal against Davidson.
  • Headed in his fourth goal of the year against La Salle.
  • Scored the first goal of the game in URI's 2-1 win over Massachusetts.
  • Registered his sixth goal of the season on a penalty kick, in Rhody's 3-1 victory over George Mason.
  • Netted the game-winning goal with just 6:37 remining in double overtime at Duquesne... The game was a must-win for the Rams in order to qualify for the Atlantic 10 Championship.
  • Scored the game-winning goal in Rhody's win over La Salle in the quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Championship... Also assisted on URI's first goal of the game.

  • Was born November 5, 1997 in Leonidion, Greece.
  • Son of Vasilicki and Ilias Zarokostas.
  • Has two older brothers, Yiannis and Nikos, and an older sister, Maria.
  • Has two relatives that have played soccer professionally: his uncle, Andreas Kokoris (A.S. Leonidon) and his grandfather, Stavros Bouzopoulos (Egaleo F.C.).
  • Enjoys music production, swimming and reading.
  • Favorite athlete is Mixalis Zambidis.
  • Favorite team is Panathinaikos F.C.
  • Chose Rhode Island over Providence and Hofstra.
  • Selected URI because of the coaching staff, the players on the team and the campus location.
  • Majoring in Oceanography.
  • Would like to pursue a career in soccer.
