Biography
BEFORE URI
- Was a member of the Indoor T&F and baseball teams at Lyman Hall.
- Team captain for the indoor track team his senior year
- SCC Champion, State Class M Champion and State Open Champion in long jump
- Named SCC Boys Athlete of the Year, CIAC Athlete of the Year.
- Part of the T&F team that won 2024 Class M state champions, 2025 SCC Champion's, Class M Champions and State Open Champions. Also played for the baseball team that went 27-1 and won the state Championship
- Holds the Connecticut LJ State Record. Lyman hall school records in:Â LJ, 300, 200, 4x400, SMR, 4x800 as well as the school record in batting average .480 and 7 HR.
PERSONAL
- Son to Christine and William Rich
- Has three brothers, Owen, Ethan and Gavin.
- His father William played baseball at UConn and in the Detroit Tigers minor league system.
- His mother played soccer for UConn and professionally for the Boston Breakers
- His brother Ethan is on the URI Track & Field team as well.
- Chose URI for the facilities, coaching staff, and team
- Plans to major in ocean affairs.
