• Attended Portsmouth High School.
• Four-year letterman of the track & field team.

• Earned Second Emerging Elite Weight Throw in Indoor Nationals.
• Holds record in weight (63’7) and hammer (197’2), set in the 2011-12 season.

Personal

• Born August 5, 1994.
• Son of Byron and Karen Briggs.
• Has one brother, Thomas, and one sister, Noelle, who graduated from URI in 2012.
• Enjoys games, soccer, throwing, and hanging out with friends and family.
• Lists favorite athlete as Matt Light.
• Follows the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots.
• Plans on being a civil engineer in the future.
• Majoring in Civil Engineering.
