Biography
BEFORE URI
- Competed in high jum and long jump for the track & field team and played middle infield for the baseball team at Lyman Hall
- Team captain for indoor track & baseball teams during the 2025-26 season.
- Earned All-state and all-conference baseball in 2026, Won New England High Jump champion in 2026. State champion in high jump in 2025 and 2026. All conference high jump 2023,2024,2025,2026
- Part of the team that won Indoor Track State Class M Championship in 2024 and 2025, State Open Championship in 2025, SCC conference Championship in 2025. Also won the Class L state championship 2025 and 2026, and SCC conference Championship in 2025 with the baseball team.
PERSONAL
- Son to Christine and William Rich
- Has three brothers, Owen, Ethan and Gavin.
- His father William played baseball at UConn and in the Detroit Tigers minor league system.
- His mother played soccer for UConn and professionally for the Boston Breakers
- His twin brother Aaron is on the URI Track & Field team as well.
- Chose URI for the competitive track program and location of the school being close to the ocean and family.
- Considered attending UConn
- Plans to major in marine affairs.
