2012 (Freshman): Recorded her first career hit in two at bats as the designated hitter against Southern Miss (2/12)... Made her collegiate debut with a pinch hit appearance against Central Arkansas (2/11).

High School: Attended LaSalle Academy (2009 through 2011) and St. Mary's Academy - Bay View (2008)... Competed in softball and track and field at LaSalle... During high school she batted .427 with 16 home runs, 3 triples, 15 doubles and 16 walks... Captain for both softball and track and field as a senior... Second-Team All-State selection for softball in 2010... Won state championship in indoor track and field in 2010 and 2011.

Personal: Born Jan. 26, 1993... Daughter of Gregory and Beverly Gammell... Has one brother, Geoffrey... Her father Gregory played golf at URI from 1978 through 1993 and is the head coach of the men's and women's golf teams at Rhode Island College... Enjoys drawing and 3-D design, watching movies, CSI and riding rollercoasters... Favorite team is the New England Patriots... Favorite athlete is Jennie Finch... Majoring in chemistry and forensic chemistry.
