Rosie Gershman joined the Rhode Island Sports Medicine staff as an associate athletic trainer in July of 2025.
In her role, she will work directly with the women's basketball and women's tennis programs for the Rams.
Gershman came to Rhode Island from Wesleyan University, where she was an assistant athletic trainer from 2022-25. While there, she was the primary coordinator of care for the football, men's wrestling, men's ice hockey, baseball and men's and women's tennis teams. Gershman also assisted in coverage for the men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the squash and crew programs.
She served as the head athletic trainer for the 2025 NESCAC Track and Field Championships, as well as the 2025 NCAA Division III Northeast Regional Tournament. During her clinical experience, she worked with the Quinnipiac women's basketball team (2019-20), the Kansas football team (2019) and the Northwestern football team (2018).
Gershman earned a both bachelor's degree in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine and a master's degree in Biomedical Sciences/Medical Sciences from Quinnipiac.
