Cara Moreau

Rhode Island women's lacrosse head coach Jenna Slowey added assistant coach Cara Moreau to complete her staff, it was announced July 16. "We are so excited to welcome Cara to the Ocean State and complete our staff," said Slowey. "With her enthusiasm and passion, coupled with the great coaching she has gotten as a player, she is poised to help us lay the foundation of Rhode Island Lacrosse."

Moreau, a two-time captain and recent graduate from Villanova, joins the Rams for their inaugural season after being a crucial element for two BIG EAST Tournament teams. She played in 41 games with 55 total points in three years on the Main Line after transferring from Drexel. A key reserve for the Dragons, she earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie Team and was named to the CAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll after making an appearance in the NCAA Tournament in 2021. "I want to give the biggest thank you to Jenna Slowey and Riley Smith for the opportunity to join the Rhody family for our inaugural season," said Moreau. "I could not be more excited to get to work and be a part of building Rhode Island Lacrosse into a championship winning program."

An accomplished student-athlete, she was a five-time Athletic Director's Honor Roll selection at Villanova and earned a spot on the BIG EAST All-Academic Team twice.
