Megan Mackey

Rhode Island women's soccer head coach Megan Jessee announced the addition of Megan Mackey to the staff in June. Mackey joins the Rams from Harvard, making two NCAA Tournament appearances in the last two years with the Crimson. "Megan is a young coach who has played at the highest levels of Division I women's soccer at Harvard," said Jessee. "Her experience as a student-athlete at that level will help her connect with our players to push them to be their very best. I believe although Megan has limited college coaching experience, she has great soccer knowledge and the drive and passion to be a great coach."

A native of Crawley, England, Mackey graduated from Harvard in 2023 after spending five years on the Crimson women's soccer team.   Her senior year, she helped Harvard win the inaugural Ivy League Tournament Championship, earning the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Mackey saw 20 minutes of action in the team's NCAA First Round win over Maine, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the second straight season.

Before her time at Harvard, she was a member of the U19 Republic of Ireland National Team and served as a team captain. She was a UEFA U17 European Championship finalist in 2017 and was nominated for the Republic of Ireland U16 Player of the Year in 2016. Mackey played for Chelsea for four years, including the PSG Tournament winners in 2016.
