Biography

2011-12 (FRESHMAN): In Rhody's season-opener at Maine, took fourth in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:43.87)... In Rhody's eighth straight win against Springfield, won the 200-yard medley relay (1:51.29)... Against New Hampshire, earned second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:43.56)... At the Harold Anderson Invitational, placed third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:41.17).

HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Westbrook High School... Played soccer four years, earning four varsity letters, swam three years, earning three varsity letters and played lacrosse one year, earning one varsity letter... Swam in Seals swim club for four years and played soccer on the Maine Metro F.C. for seven years... Captained swimming and soccer senior year... Received Rookie of the Year award in swimming freshman year... MVP award senior year... Freshman year was third in state for 50 freestyle in swimming... For soccer, junior and senior year received All-Conference Team in the SMAA... Senior year, most goals scored MVP... Participated in spanish club, interact club and peer mentoring.

PERSONAL: Born May 7, 1993... Daughter of Marc and Kim Blais... Has two brothers, Nick and Adam, and one sister, Allison... Nick graduated Vermont Tech (2005) and both Allison and Adam graduated UMBC in 2005 and 2006, respectively... Allison played soccer at UMBC for three years... Adam swam at UMBC for four years... Enjoys being with family, traveling, music and photography... Lists Christiano Ronaldo as favorite athlete and the New York Yankees as favorite team... Majoring in Kinesiology.
