Before URI
- Transferred to Rhode Island from Pittsburgh with four seasons of eligibility
- Graduated from the Williston Northampton School in 2019, where she was a team captain
- A distance swimmer who has been in the water since she was 3 years old
- Was a New England Champion in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle three consecutive years
- Was a New England Senior Champion in the Mile and was awarded the NEPSAC Sportsmanship and Leadership Award
Personal
- Chose Rhode Island because she felt like it had everything she wanted, including a big school but a smaller campus near the beach
- She connected with the relationship between the team members and coaches, as well as the overall team dynamic.Â
- A Dean's List student, Joyce will major in Communications
- Plans to become a journalist
