Avery Hanan joined the Rhode Island women's volleyball staff as a graduate assistant in August of 2023.
A former A four-year member of the Cornell women's volleyball team, Hanan appeared in 52 matches for the Big Red from 2018-21. She amassed 356 kills and 93 blocks during her time with Cornell.
Following her graduation, Hanan was an assistant coach for the boys and girls volleyball teams at Carlsbad High School in California.Â
Hanan earned a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Neurobiology and Behavior in May of 2022. She also minored in Human Development. She is currently a doctoral student in Physical Therapy at Rhode Island.
