Biography

2025 (Junior/Sacred Heart) 
  • Started and played in all 30 matches and all 116 sets as a middle hitter
  • Finished the season with a career-high 195 kills, averaging 1.68 per set
  • Second on the team with a .246 attack percentage and second with 78 total blocks
  • Put up a minimum of two kills in all 30 matches, finishing four with double figures, including for the first time in her career on opening weekend against Queens (NC) where she finished with 10 kills (8/30)
  • Set a career-high with 12 kills in a four-set match against MAAC foe Niagara (11/8). Added double figures one other time in conference play, against Rider (10/3)
  • Twice finished with a season-high six blocks, both in conference play against Merrimack (9/27) and Siena (10/10)
2024 (Sophomore/Sacred Heart)
  • Started in 24 of 28 matches as a sophomore middle hitter in 2024
  • Finished second on the team with a .242 hitting percentage and was third with a career-best 65.0 blocks (0.68/set)
  • Tallied a career-high 120 kills (1.25/set)
  • Matched her career-best with eight kills in seven different matches
  • Recorded a season-high seven blocks against Manhattan (9/28) and Saint Peter's (10/20)
2023 (Freshman/Sacred Heart)
  • Made 14 starts in 23 appearances in her first season as a Pioneer 
  • Finished fourth on the team with 48.0 total blocks
  • Racked up 65 kills while hitting .121
  • Tallied a career-high nine blocks in four sets against Rhode Island (9/9)
  • Posted a career-best eight kills in a five-set win over LIU (9/23)
Before College
  • Attended King Phillip Regional High School, where she played volleyball and basketball
  • Served as a senior captain in both sports
  • Also competed for the CMASS Juniors Volleyball Club
  • Recorded 423 kills, 90 blocks and a .450 hitting percentage

  • Daughter of Rose and Erik Sawyer
  • Has two brothers, Chris and Alex
  • Has one sister, Caroline
  • Her father Erik played baseball at Babson College
  • Chose URI because of the welcoming campus and academic opportunities
  • Enjoys volleyball, art, playing with her dogs, concerts and music
  • Favorite athlete is Jaylen Brown
  • Favorite teams are the Celtics and Red Sox
  • Majoring in Economics
