Jack O'Marra joined the Rhode Island Sports Information Office in August of 2026 as a coordinator of sports communication. In his position, O'Marra oversees media relations for men's soccer, women's swimming and diving and men's track and field/cross country. Additionally, he will assist with women's lacrosse and baseball.
O'Marra, a 2019 URI graduate, has spent his career in a variety of roles in the collegiate and professional sports arenas. He has served as media relations director for the Bay State Bobcats NA3HL USA Junior Hockey organization, a broadcaster for the Bobcats, the Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Prospects Hockey League and for several local colleges and universities across all sports.
Additionally, O'Marra has worked as a senior account executive with the Ryan Center and Oak View Group on behalf of Rhode Island athletics. He has been connected with URI Athletics for more than a decade, covering the department as a media member for the Good 5-Cent Cigar and WRIU.
