Kelli Kidd is in her third year at the University of Rhode Island as a Nutrition Specialist in sports nutrition in 2020-21. She joined the department in May of 2018 with the goal of helping student-athletes optimize their performance through nutrition.

Kidd comes to URI from Bryant University, where she served as a Health & Nutrition Educator helping athletes and students with their nutritional needs for the past year. She also served as the Dietitian for the United States Corps of Cadets at the United States Military Academy from 2001-2010 where she worked extensively with the athletes.

A native of northeastern Pennsylvania, (Hazleton area), Kidd graduated from Penn State University in 1995, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Nutrition with a minor in Exercise Science. There she was a member of the Women’s Cross-Country & Track teams and earned All-American honors in the 10,000M in 1993 and 1994.

She completed her dietetic internship at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. in 1996. and obtained her master’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Washington in 2000. She earned her diploma in Sports Nutrition from the International Olympic Committee in the spring of 2018.
