Nikki Prestiano

Rhode Island women's lacrosse head coach Jenna Slowey announced the addition of Nikki Prestiano to the staff as an assistant coach. Prestiano spent the last seven seasons at Lafayette following a decorated playing career as a goalkeeper at Manhattan. "We are thrilled to welcome Nikki to our staff," said Slowey. "Her energy and passion are palpable. Combined with her extensive experience coaching in a competitive conference, I know she will make a tremendous impact here in the Ocean State."

Prestiano joined the Lafayette staff as an assistant coach before being elevated to associate head coach for the last two seasons. A season ago, she helped guide the Leopards to a 4-1 start in non-conference play and a 3-0 mark at home. Lafayette also posted a 3.61 team grade-point average through the fall semester, with five players earning a 4.0.

Prior to beginning her coaching career, Prestiano spent four seasons in goal at Manhattan. She was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week four times and served as a team captain during her senior season.

Prestiano earned a master's degree in organizational leadership from Manhattan in May 2021.
