RJ Johnson joined the men's basketball staff for the 202-27 season as a graduate assistant.

After playing for the Rams as a point guard in the 2025-26 season, Johnson transitioned into the coaching profession. He works closely with the teams guards and plays a key role in player development.

Johnson scored 1,355 points during his collegiate playing career. He also recorded 485 assists and 110 steals during his time at Rhode Island, Charleston Southern (2022-25) and Holy Cross (2020-2022).
