Tommy Wynsen joined the Rhode Island Athletics Sports Medicine staff as an associate athletic trainer before the 2023-24 school year. In the role, he works directly with the women's lacrosse program.
Wynsen came to URI from Xavier, where he worked with the men's basketball program as an athletic training student. He also has worked with the Dayton women's basketball team (January-March 2023) and the Rhode Island football program (June-August 2022).
Wynsen holds two degree from Xavier. He finished a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science in May of 2022 before earning a master's degree in Athletic Training in May of 2023.
