Trish Casey rejoined URI's Athletic Department in May of 2024 as the Associate Athletic Director and Chief Business Officer where she oversees the strategy, budget and finance, travel, personnel and equipment operations of the department.  

Casey is an accomplished finance executive with expertise in financial management, budget, strategy and operations, and planning within the higher education sector. She is skilled in collaborating with all members of the organization to achieve business and financial objectives. An innovative thinker and ambitious business leader, she has a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvements. 

Previously, Casey served as the Controller for URI where she oversaw the financial operations of the Athletic Department, the Associate Vice President of Financial Operations at the University of Connecticut and most recently a Director at Huron Consulting Group where she focused on CFO Support, Budget Model Redesign, Facilities and Athletics Business Operations.   

A licensed CPA, she earned both her bachelor's (accounting) and master's (public administration) degrees from the University of Rhode Island. She currently serves as an adjunct instructor in URI's College of Business and the Masters of Public Administration program.
