Sophomore Jeff Cammans (Jamestown, R.I.) led off with a single through the left side and redshirt freshman Dan Haverstick (Marlton, N.J.) followed with a base hit to right center before freshman Milan Adams (Exeter, R.I.) reached on a 3-5 fielder's choice ball. Mastors was then walked to load the bases for freshman Sam VandenHeuvel (Chandler, Ariz.) who sent an RBI-single through the left side to make the score 6-1.

Rhault followed with a two-run double before Coulombe grounded out to short to score VandenHeuvel. Redshirt freshman Adam Derner (River Edge, N.J.) went on to plate Rhault on a double to left, putting the Rams in front 10-1.

A solo-shot by Coulombe in the seventh inning made it an 11-1 game before junior Zoey Angulo (Miami, Fla.) scored on Mastors' eighth-inning RBI-ground out to record the Rams' final run of the game.

Graveline was relieved by freshman Anthony Pisani (Revere, Mass.) in the top of the eighth. Pisani faced the minimum three batters before junior Dan Rossignol (Nashua, N.H.) took over and threw a 1-2-3 ninth inning to cap off the win.

The victory improves Rhode Island's record to 21-12-1 while Hartford drops to 6-20.
